10% to Charity

10% of the profits from Flower City Swing & Blues will donated each year.

We do this in appreciation of the origins of this music and dance, especially in Black communities across the country, and in support of the modern Black dancers who are inspirations to us.

We do this in recognition of the land on which we hold our event. The Rochester area is the traditional territory of the Onöndowa'ga:' In English, they are known as Seneca people. They are one of the six nations that make up the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We honor the land on which we now dance and recognize the unique relationship that the Indigenous stewards have with this land, and the history of colonization that took place on this land.
